Free public guided walks for families and small groups are at 10 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Meet at the entrance of the Visitor Center. Click here for more information.

Mindful Walks in Nature are every Sunday at 9 to 11 AM starting at the Guy Fleming trail head.

Note: When trails are closed, Nature Walks are usually cancelled.

Restrooms are available at the South Beach and North Beach parking lots.

Portable toilets are available in the upper Reserve.

There are no restrooms in the Visitor Center.

Lots are located at the South Beach entrance and at North Beach. Two small lots are on the mesa near the Lodge. The road up the hill is often closed to cars when these small lots are filled, especially on weekends.  Also, the South Beach lot itself may close when full.  There is a flashing light above the kiosk to indicate when that lot is closed.  Info sheet on light here.

There is a facility use fee for any vehicle entering Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. The fee collection is operated by a concessionaire, LAZ.

Fees paid at the South Beach kiosk are valid for both the South Beach parking lot and the parking lots in the Reserve at the top of the mesa. A separate fee structure applies at the North Beach parking lot. Day use passes or camping receipts from other state parks are not accepted for admission to Torrey Pines lots.

South Beach parking:

General Admission Day Use fee is $15-$25 per vehicle (demand base pricing) or a valid annual California State Parks Vehicle Day Use Pass.  Camping is not permitted at Torrey Pines.

Torrey Pines is one of the most popular State Parks in San Diego. As a result of this, Torrey Pines becomes very crowded during the summer time. The hours between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM tend to be the busiest hours of the Reserve, so it is best to plan around these times! Mid-day, after 11 AM, during holiday periods it may be difficult to get in to park at the South Lots.  Consider parking in the North Beach Lot. 
If there is no staff person in the kiosk at the park entrance, the parking fee must be paid at the Automated Pay Machine located in the South Beach parking lot.

North Beach parking:

General Admission Day Use fee is $10-$25 per vehicle (demand base pricing) or a valid annual California State Parks Vehicle Day Use Pass.  Camping is not permitted at Torrey Pines.

Note: Recreational vehicles longer than a standard parking spot are allowed only in the North Beach lot. There is an additional fee for oversize vehicles.

Guests who don’t want to pay the day use fee can be picked up/dropped off just outside our gate near the bus stop in the free parking area.

LAZ has initiated a system of tracking names of paid guests at the kiosk. When a guest arrives in an Uber they can pay the day-use fee (or show their annual pass) at the kiosk, the kiosk records their “uber-name” and when another Uber driver returns later in the day, as long as they know the guests uber-name, the kiosk lets them in to pick up the guest at the Visitor Center or wherever they may be.

To purchase passes, you can buy them online or annual passes are for sale at the South Beach entrance station (kiosk) daily from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.  They will accept cash and credit cards (VISA, MC, Discover, and AMEX).  No checks will be accepted.

The Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) is accepted at Torrey Pines.

The DDP fee is one-half of the day use flat fee in effect. For example, if the daily fee is $12, then the DDP fee is $6. The DDP card must be displayed on the vehicle dash along with the fee receipt. DDP fees may be paid at the kiosk or the automated pay station. If you are disabled and would like to obtain a DDP go to State Parks website at parks.ca.gov  and submit an application as directed.

Note: Anyone conducting business (profit or non-profit) within the Reserve (photographers, personal trainers, guides, etc), regardless of group size, must obtain a permit by contacting sd.specialevents@parks.ca.gov.
